MacVoices
The talk of the Apple community

The latest MacVoices Live! panel started off with Chuck’s latest Comcast adventure before turning to Apple’s alleged plans for ads and how it might play out. The panel of host Chuck Joiner, David Ginsburg, Warren Sklar, Frank Petrie, and Guy Serle also start a conversation about the departure of a high-profile Apple employee who cited return-to-office mandates as the reason. (Part 1)

The debate over form over function continues and expands to Mac design vs. PC design as one panel member makes some controversial pronouncements…and is promptly abused for them. David Ginsburg, Warren Sklar, Jeff Gamet, host Chuck Joiner, Jim Rea, and Guy Serle then turn to Facebook’s departure from the podcast market. Did anyone know they were there in the first place? Does it make a difference? (Part 2)

The MacVoices Live! panel of David Ginsburg, Mark Fuccio, Warren Sklar, Jim Rea, and Jeff Gamet finally declared a truce in their Twitter debate and transitioned over to a discussion of podcast exclusivity. Some of the Spotify exclusive shows, including those produced by the Obamas, have left that platform, allegedly to reach a wider audience. (Part 3)

This MacVoices Live! panel wraps up with some discussion of a possible Apple challenger to the Echo Show and Google Nest Hub. Could a dedicated iPad be just as effective? Then, we have a little fun in follow-up to a previous discussion as the panel of Jeff Butts, David Ginsburg, Brittany Smith, Jeff Gamet, Warren Sklar, Frank Petrie, and Jim Rea pick one music video to share. There are some serious surprises in those picks. (Part 3)
