Mike's love-affair for all things Apple began in his Junior High's Library playing Lemonade Stand on a pair of brand new Apple ][+ computers. His penchant for Apple gear continued to be nurtured by the public school system when, in High School, he was hired as a lab supervisor to help run the Apple ][e lab for his fellow students and their Print Shop needs. Then, further still, in college he often opted to help a friend with her Computer Graphics coursework instead of focusing on his own studies, but only because it helped get him closer to the Mac-lab.

Andrew Orr is a freelance writer and amateur photographer. He loves Apple products and enjoys writing and sharing all things tech. When he's not writing about Apple, you can often find him snapping photos with his iPhone. Read what he writes at The Mac Observer, and follow him on Twitter.

By day, Bart Busschots is a Linux sysadmin and Perl programmer, and a keen amateur photographer when ever he gets the time. Bart hosts and produces the Let's Talk podcast series - a monthly Apple show that takes a big-picture look at the last month in Apple news, and a monthly photography show focusing on the art and craft of photography. Every second week Bart is the guest for the Chit Chat Across the Pond segment on Allison Sheridan's NosillaCast. You can get links to everything Bart gets up including a link to his photography and his personal blog.

Michael Potter is the Executive Producer of For Mac Eyes Only, and the organizer of the annual Macstock Conference and Expo.

The panel of David Ginsburg, Mark Fuccio, Andrew Orr, and Frank Petrie discuss and debate the feasibility of the business model from both the consumer and Apple standpoints, identify some existing options that are almost like a subscription service, and some of the challenges of putting it all together.
The latest edition of MacVoices Live! marked our first dual stream to both Facebook and YouTube as the panel of David Ginsburg, Mark Fuccio, Andrew Orr, and Frank Petrie provided some follow-up information from a viewer on our AirPods Max evaluation. The discussion then turned to an article by Andrew and the debate over why Google Chrome is slowing down some users’ computers, what Keystone is, and why it is even there. (Part 1 of 2)

Kelly Guimont is a longtime Apple geek, sitting down (on a telephone book) in front of an Apple IIe in 1983. She can still hear the ticking of the ImageWriter. Thanks to the miracle of the adjustable leg desk, she no longer needs the phonebook. Kelly writes for The Mac Observer, is the host of the Daily Observations Podcast, is co-host of The Aftershow, and yet still has more to say which she saves for Twitter and Micro.blog.

Mark Fuccio is actively involved in high tech startup companies, both as a principle at piqsure.com, or as a marketing advisor through his consulting practice Tactics Sells High Tech, Inc.
Part 2 of our MacVoices Live! panel of David Ginsburg, Kelly Guimont, Brittany Smith, Andrew Orr, Frank Petrie, Guy Serle, and Mark Fuccio continued their discussion of past and present macOS/chip transitions, then shift to Apple’s decision to reduce their commission on app store developers from 30% to 15% for developers earning less than $1 million per year. The issue is more complex than you might think.

David Ginsburg is the President of the Suburban Chicago Apple Users Group, and is an IT professional supporting Mac, iOS and Windows users. Find and follow him on Twitter as @daveg65. You can also hear him share his knowledge on his podcast, In Touch With iOS.

Brittany Smith is a cognitive neuroscientist who provides a variety of consulting services through her business, Devise and Conquer that includes ADD/ADHD coaching, technology coaching, productivity consulting, and more. She is a self-designated “well-rounded geek”, and holds a M.S. degree in Cognitive Neuroscience.
Guy Serle, best known for being one of the co-hosts of the MyMac Podcast, sincerely apologizes for anything he has done or caused to have happened while in possession of dangerous podcasting equipment. He should know better but being a blonde from Florida means he's probably incapable of understanding the damage he has wrought. Guy is also the author of the novel, The Maltese Cube.
